About Me

Hi, my name is Cameron Churchwell, I'm a fourth year student in the McCormick School of Engineering at Northwestern University studying computer science and math. I've been programming since fifth grade when I discovered the ComputerCraft mod for Minecraft.

Now I'm doing research in the field of neural speech editing with a current focus on pronunciation and prosody.

In my free time I work on ridiculous and (sometimes) useful side projects, play trombone in assorted Northwestern University Bands, play videogames, read, and learn to rollerblade.

Oh and if you're on desktop, you can see the cool optical illusion I made!

I work in the Interactive Audio Lab lead by Professor Bryan Pardo.

My current work with PhD candidate Max Morrison focuses on neural speech editing, specifically on creating better representations for pronunciation information and exploring controllable speech synthesis.

My main interests right now are controllable speech representations, speech editing, and using these technologies to assist people with speech sound disorders. I am also interested in music generation, and source separation.
